For the most part I love baking and decorating cakes, cupcakes and treats for my friends and family. What do I not like about it? The dirty dishes. Many of my friends say “Oh just load them in the dishwasher and go” well at my house I AM the dish washer. When I first married and did the shopping for our house I would buy whatever dish washing liquid that was on sale that week. Mistake! I ended up with grease gunk left behind on my cake pans and glass bowls that I use for mixing icing. I honestly buy nothing but Dawn dish soap now. It doesn’t irritate my eczema on my hands and it doesn’t take a lot of the Dawn in my hard water to make soap suds. Plus it gets rid of the baked on goo and left over greasy mess from recipes like the blue velvet cupcakes recipe and easy buttercream icing.

Dawn dish soap #MyDawnSummer

I used Dawn on my mixing bowls, Kitchenaid mixer attachments as well as some spoons and spatula after making a blue velvet cupcakes recipe and easy buttercream icing. The blue cake batter and creamy icing were no match for the Dawn on my dishes. I was able to wash up my cake dishes and go on about my day. No need to let them soak or having to rewash because the dishes didn’t get clean the first time around. Who has time for all that? Not me.
